Shipping policy
Thanks for shopping with JDM House. We move a lot of bulky, heavy and imported gear — body kits, exhausts, seats, wheels and tyres — so our shipping works a bit differently to a store that posts small parcels. Here's exactly what to expect.
By placing an order at www.jdmhouse.com.au, you agree to the terms below.
Order processing
Processing time is how long it takes us to pick, pack and dispatch your order. It's separate from the time the courier spends getting it to you.
In-stock items are typically processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days. Bulky, fragile and heavy items take that time because they need proper packaging to survive the trip.
Back-order and long lead time items. We carry an extensive catalogue, and some specialised parts are back-ordered or made to order. These are processed and shipped as soon as they arrive at our local facility. Because of manufacturing schedules and international sea and air freight, lead times on back-orders can vary a lot. We'll give you an ETA where we can, but those dates are estimates only.
Mixed orders. If your order has both in-stock and back-ordered items, we'll normally ship the in-stock items first and send the rest when it lands. In some cases it makes more sense to hold and ship everything together — if that's the plan, we'll tell you. If you need the in-stock items urgently, place two separate orders or contact us to arrange split shipping (extra freight charges may apply).
Delivery timeframes
Any delivery timeframe shown at checkout is an estimate and a guide only. It is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Once a package leaves us, transit time is in the hands of our freight and courier partners. We're not able to control delays caused by the courier network, weather, peak periods or missed delivery attempts. We'll always help you chase a delayed consignment — just email us with your order number.
Bulky and oversized items
Automotive parts often fall into oversized or heavy freight categories.
Special handling. These items go via specialist couriers and cannot be delivered to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Please give us a physical residential or business address. If your address isn't serviceable for that kind of freight, we'll send the consignment to the nearest depot for collection and let you know.
Freight adjustments. Our website calculates shipping as accurately as it can, but very remote locations or exceptionally bulky orders can attract surcharges we can't see at checkout. In the rare case where the real freight cost is dramatically higher than what you were quoted, we'll contact you to discuss a tailored freight quote. If the revised cost doesn't suit you, we'll refund your order in full — you're never locked in.
Damaged in transit
We pack carefully, but freight damage does occasionally happen. Please inspect your delivery as soon as it arrives.
If something turns up damaged, email sales@jdmhouse.com.au within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos of both the damaged item and the outer packaging. We need that window to lodge a claim with the carrier, so the sooner the better. This timeframe is about the carrier claim — it doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Address accuracy
Please double-check your delivery address at checkout. If you spot a mistake, email us straight away — we can usually fix it before dispatch. Once a consignment is on the road, redirections attract a fee from the courier, and we'll need to pass that on.
Local pickup and workshop fitting
If you're on the Gold Coast and want to collect in person, or you'd like us to fit wheels and tyres for you at the workshop in Nerang, give us a ring before you order and we'll set it up.
